Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 29 (ANI): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Mohan Bhagwat will pay a four-day visit to Jammu starting September 30.
During his visit, RSS Sarsanghchalak will participate in several programs. In accordance with the Sangh tradition, each year the Sarsanghchalak and Sarkaryavah go to all the provinces of the country for organizational work and to interact with personalities. Notably, this will be Bhagwat’s inaugural visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir after the repeal of Articles 370 and 35A. Previously, he had visited Jammu in 2016.
In addition to various internal organizational meetings with the Jammu and Kashmir unit of Sangh, Bhagwat will be speaking at a seminar at the Zorawar Singh General Auditorium of Jammu University on October 2. He will review the ongoing projects launched by RSS in Jammu and Kashmir in various fields. including Sewa (service), education, public awareness, health, rural development, ecology, water conservation, social equality, etc.
On October 3, Bhagwat will address RSS volunteers across Jammu and Kashmir by video conference. He will also interact with the Pracharaks of the Union territory as well as with selected dignitaries.
According to RSS, Sangh workers played a very important role in serving people during the first and second waves of COVID. Bhagwat will seek feedback from RSS volunteers who have worked diligently during the first and second waves of the pandemic.
In August 2019, the Center repealed Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir and divided the region into two territories: Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh . (ANI)
